Terms of service
These terms and conditions ("Terms") govern all purchases made through this website, which is operated by Cathy Veale ("we", "us"), 1 Flower Meadow Lane, Swanage, Dorset BH19 3BG. Email: fineart@cathyveale.co.uk. By placing an order, you agree to these Terms.
1. Prints
1.1 All prints are signed limited edition giclée prints, produced on archival paper and supplied unframed.
1.2 Prints in the smaller sizes are supplied with a 6cm white mount and are cellophane wrapped. Prints in the largest size are supplied without a mount.
1.3 Every effort is made to reproduce colours accurately. Colours may, however, vary slightly depending on the screen used to view them.
2. Original paintings
2.1 Original paintings are sold framed and are available by enquiry only. The price, delivery arrangements and any other terms are agreed in writing before payment is taken.
3. Prices and payment
3.1 All prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP). Payment is taken in full at the time of order.
3.2 Delivery charges are applied per order at checkout, as follows:
- United Kingdom: £6.99
- Europe: £15.00
- USA and Canada: £20.00
- Rest of the world: £25.00
4. Delivery
4.1 Orders are dispatched within 5 working days of payment by a tracked postal service.
4.2 Orders delivered outside the United Kingdom may be subject to import duties, taxes and handling charges, which are the responsibility of the customer.
5. Damaged items
5.1 If an item arrives damaged, please notify us by email within 7 days of delivery, enclosing photographs of the item and its packaging. We will provide a replacement or a full refund.
6. Cancellations and returns
6.1 Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you may cancel an order for prints within 14 days of delivery. Please notify us by email before returning any item.
6.2 Items must be returned unused, undamaged and in their original packaging. Return postage is at the customer's expense.
6.3 Refunds, including the original delivery charge, will be made within 14 days of our receipt of the returned item.
6.4 Commissioned works are made to the customer's specification and are excluded from the right to cancel.
6.5 Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are not affected.
7. Commissions
7.1 The subject, size, price and timescale of a commission are agreed in writing before work begins.
7.2 Commissioned works are signed and supplied in a lime-washed wooden frame with conservation glass.
7.3 Once work has begun, a commission cannot be cancelled.
8. Copyright
8.1 Copyright in all artworks and images remains with Cathy Veale. The purchase of an artwork or print does not transfer any right to reproduce it.
