A favourite bay, a sailing mark, the beach you were married on — a small number of commissioned paintings are undertaken each year, in the same large-scale watercolour as the exhibited work.

The conversation
It begins with the place — photographs, memories, the time of day and the weather you want held onto. A size and timescale are agreed.
II.
Completion
Cathy contacts you as soon as it is completed.
III.
The painting
The finished watercolour, signed, in a lime-washed wooden frame with conservation glass.
